[anime] So I don’t have the tweet for the info handy but here’s something fun I saw the other day: apparently Gainax and Aniplex no longer have ownership of Gurren Lagann.

It’s reverted now to Nakashima, Imaishi, and the GL Production Comittee.

Nakashima WAS on the copyright beforehand

Imaishi was NOT

And now is

But Gainax and Aniplex have been removed from the copyright and replaced by JUST Imaishi

(I wouldn’t get too happy that Aniplex won’t be distributing the Blu-rays anymore, they’ve ALSO done Trigger shows like KLK so that’s still a $200 set.)

Now whether anything comes of that, who knows. But it’s very interesting and yet another property Gainax doesn’t have anymore.
