Is that like 8 hours total? Or maybe bi-yearly? Bc I thought gun safety training was like CEUs, like you have to keep taking it every so often if you're carrying in the course of duty.

THey should make it 1000 hours and make bullets 1k each

And around kids, like I dunno, to protect them from an active shooter, or for them to protect themselves, I'd think it'd be treated the same way: frequent and regular training.

ok. so. the law summary basically says it would reduce necessary training from those akin to peace officers to that of ccw permit holders (hence the 700+ down to 8 hour comment).

it's important to NOTE though, that since 2013, no further certification is needed to renew CCWs in Ohio 🙃
