I was telling
Cy-BRR!-a
before, but I was curious about how Bradford had said that he couldnโt throw Scrooge into it because heโd find his way back somehow
One idea was kind of like a Tsubasa situation, where Donald isnโt entirely erased from existence and is just broken up into pieces, so the family has to go around and find each piece to bring Donald back
A variation of that idea is that Donald canโt be completely erased from existence because of Alternate Universe theory, and the fact that Donald does exist in alternate universes. So they have to travel to other universes to get a piece of alternate Donalds to restore their own
Speaking of Bad Endings, Iโve also always wanted to write a DuckTales version of The Duck Who Never Was, a comic where Donald has a โItโs A Wonderful Lifeโ moment
Though I donโt really want Donald to be the one who wishes himself out of existence. For some reason, I lean a bit more toward Dewey making the wish?
Kind of a heat of the moment, during an argument maybe. And less โDonald never existedโ and maybe more โDonald was the one to disappear instead of Dellaโ
I canโt figure out if itโll just be Dewey who remembers the alternate version of how things should be, or if Huey and Louie remember with him somehow, and the three of them have to figure out how to set the world right again
Because I imagine that theyโd be a little confused and conflicted about everything. Theyโve always wanted to be a bit more independent, and have Donald less protective of them. But now that heโs leaving itโs....different? Not as good as they thought?
But yeah, so I wanted to write a fic with Donald getting ready to leave and having an individual goodbye with each of the boys, who react in different ways: Huey tries to be supportive (and overly so), Dewey gets a bit mad (he is like Della, after all), and Louie pretends not to care
I also want to revisit my idea of a DuckTales/Legend of the Three Caballeros crossover. But instead of all the Caballero stuff happening pre-series, itโll happen post-series
Although Iโd set the story to after they come back from vacation, to have all the family involved and helping Donald achieve his destiny as a Caballero
short version - Daisy stares at the Ramrod, then quietly but with all the anger she can must says "Bring him back." Pop. There he is.
based on the jokes I've seen on tumblr where they noted Daisy wasn't among the captured at the library, either because A) she beat the shit out of anyone who tried or B ) they fucking knew better than to try.
And even though the wish is that Donald goes missing instead of Della, this universe has them both missing because Della went to try to find Donald and still disappeared
Because on the one hand, losing Donald and Della could have broken Scroogeโs spirit enough that Bradford didnโt think the clone was necessary anymore? So project 87 never really got off the ground?
Ooh, that would actually be an alternate explanation for why he didn't try another clone until later: No need to waste money on resources building and raising another clone
So Bradford has more or less complete control over Scrooge and by extension McDuck Enterprises, we're down both of the Duck twins, AND we have no ball of sunshine in Webby
And presumably reacquire some skills to get the job done because if they maintain their memories, were they just transferred into that alternate timelines or what?
Thatโs what Iโm trying to figure out. Like, if Dewey wishes for the things to be different, how can he keep his memories of the original timeline? And how does Huey and Louie, if they werenโt involved in making the wish itself
Iโm thinking another mystical artifact that allows a wish to be made, but some kind of protection happens that keeps them from forgetting while still becoming transported and planted into this new world
And, as a side note, Iโm trying to decide if Gladstone would have kept the triplets names as Della had intended, or named them something more fitting with his own theme, like Fame, Fortune, and Chance or something equally weird
Pop. There he is.
