just because like. real recognize real. dean just gotta respect someone who flat out admits they're an asshole.

like hey at least they're honest. frankly as long as he's not screwing the displaced over, let him do his thing. big mood, same.

like he got a little hint of it back on that "let's do something about the fucking moon" thing, because Jason was a dick but he was also a helpful dick. he doesn't let a little bit of attitude derail things, he loves people who can just let a little friction roll off their backs bc that's some serious old grumpy grizzly hunter attitude.

he just like "aight I'll back off the moon plans so long as something's getting fucking done at ALL" so 110% cool with Jason changing the plans bc it actually accomplished something.

dean and jay have a fair amount of surface similarities which is really cute. they're both snarky assholes who get shit done when it needs to be done
