Not sure where I'm going with it, but decided to solidify the idea I had about a superhero murder mystery and basically hammering down both the core mystery and the cast.

and aside from the Superman analogue being the victim, trying to avoid making the capes too similar to well-known heroes (which given how many of them there are is not gonna be an easy task)

got names: Gloom, Technomancer, Lady Luck, Eclair d'Argent, Aerialist, and victim: Stalwart

and Ophiuchus for the token supervillain

and it felt natural most of the cast being non-cishet

one of the twists is the Detective is not out to his coworkers and realizing Stalwart was an ex-boyfriend,

so dealing with solving the murder while dealing with feelings

/intrigued!

but yeah, so far one of the major characters is a transwoman, the Detective is bisexual, and the Aerialist is NB

(the Aerialist has both super-spatial awareness and the ability to change their mass, so being able to pull of insane acrobatic stunts because they know exactly where they'd land, and making themselves light enough that even a long fall won't hurt

the heighten awareness also means being stupidly accurate with projectiles

Lady Luck's power is self-explanatory, luck manipulation, Eclair D'Argent is very much "Costume and powerset don't match"
