[intro post/ama] Hello, it's Mimi here! I've added some new people recently so I figured I'd do one of these!

So my name is Mimi, as I've said. I'm a PhD candidate and I, in theory, have one year left in my degree

I'm getting my PhD in Rhetoric and Composition, and have an MA in English Lit. Hopefully, those two combined mean I get a job teaching college level English

this is my cat Luna, I've had her for a year and a half now

Most of my hobbies outside of school are RP related. I do some icon making, which is always fun. I try to read for fun when I can but it's hard to find brain energy to do so

Right now I'm teaching a Freshman Writing class, and then TAing for two more, while I start my research for my dissertation
