how's this for some shit:

so this last week, we had no power, no hot water, and spotty internet for the better part of 4 days. last night, Jenny told me that my "work ethic sucks" and that I "didn't do anything to help this week" among other things. but here's why that's bullshit:
Sarahndipity
she said I didn't help, right? but what the FUCK did she realistically expect me to do given the circumstances??
Sarahndipity
also, she spent a majority of the time laying in bed and/or constantly refreshing her phone, trying to get it to connect to some kind of service, or playing games on her phone
Sarahndipity
AND MEANWHILE
Sarahndipity
I played countless games of Sorry and Mario Kart Uno with Rachel and Daniel to keep them from being scared and bored out of their minds, but every time they asked Jenny to play a game with them, she said no, even when she WASN'T DOING ANYTHING
Sarahndipity
so if what I did is considered "not helping" then honestly, fuck her
Sarahndipity
and one night this week, when I was getting Hailey ready for bed, we were in the middle of another "rolling" outage, so I was using my phone's flashlight so that I could see to change her messy diaper, and Jenny got all huffy and annoyed that she had to hold up her phone flashlight so I could see a little better
Sarahndipity
but my work ethic sucks... yeah okay

yeah that's exactly what it is, and it's a sign of gaslighting which I'm obviously not okay with, but she won't see it if I call her out on it. so the best I can do at this point is recognize it for what it is and not let it get to me
