Should I be watching Hereditary at 5am when I can’t sleep? Probably not. And yet here I am.

First of all: mood
But ohhhh man rewatching it is definitely A Different Experience

Ever since it was pointed out to me that there's a cultist on-screen in scenes where the family are especially vulnerable, I've been fucked up!!!
Like the one lady during Annie's group therapy session, and then Peter's friend when he was having the panic attack....
I hate it

Oh man I knew about the lady in Annie's group but I hadn't noticed Peter's panic attack. I did only make it partway through last night so I may finish up today and look more closely at it

YEAH it's not his "main" friend, but one of the other ones, so it blends into the background a lot more easily.... so it's especially insidious

It hurts, y'all..... In this house we love emotionally wrenching depictions of the cycle of abuse and trauma!!!
