I think it’s always good to remember that people with horror stories are always going to be louder online than people with “normal” experiences. Like in the early 2000s when everyone was afraid they were going to get kidnapped by some men in a white van when in reality most kidnappers are family members. The internet feeds off of spectacle and shock value.
