What do they think about before falling asleep - Previously this was like, literally a day's to do list and what he didn't get done that day and what he should do tomorrow to improve and general fretting. Now there's a lot of processing all the changes, and pondering Things He Saw in Magnus' memories and also yanno ... feelings about Things.
What is their biggest regret? - ouuf. Previously The Gay, and also every other way he judges himself as disappointing to his family/clave. Now, probably that he doesn't know for sure if he's really where he's needed, while he's here.
What does their bedroom look like? - ... exactly like Magnus had it. lol. Alec doesn't really nest in much, he didn't at home either, He'll start to when he gets more comfortable in his own skin, but for the most part he just exists in a space, he doesn't change it.
I think it's likely Magnus put in details he thought Alec would like, and Alec went for the room with more light, but that was pretty much all his input.
Cleanliness habits (personal, workspace, etc.) - he's pretty neat. There might be a jacket left draped on a chair or shoes beside the door, but for the most part Alec leaves a small footprint of where he's been. he only spreads out if he's in the middle of doing something - cleaning weapons, making arrows, cooking.
How do they see themselves 5 years from today? - Lord does he have no idea. At home he'd have hoped to be running the New York Institute by then. He suspects if he wasn't married he'd have been getting nudged that way.
In Dup? Everything has changed so much in the last few months he can't imagine a year from now, let alone five. Magnus' two years there seem like a freaking lifetime, considering he was married and all in that period. If he had to say, he'd probably say he just wants to figure out how to help make things better for people.
Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time - okay, Alec has very little pop culture knowledge and doesn't watch a lot of stuff. But his VERY GUILTY PLEASURE is game shows. he will watch any game show if it is on and waste time and then feel super guilty for wasting time because he should be productive.
Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging - Ehhhhh ... he didn't really have one? He'd have like pizza or ice cream or sugary pancakes with Max, but mostly Alec put himself into a pretty austere life most of the time. Now though ... he really likes sex like a lot. Also kissing.
Favorite book genre? - He doesn't read for pleasure that often. Mostly if he's reading it's studying, so histories or political studies or the like. But if he does, he likes like, historical drama with all the political intrigue and such.
What does their bedroom look like? - Eliot hasn't really made himself too at home here yet, so his room hasn't seen a lot of big changes from when it was issued. The bedding got changed so the comforter is more jeweled tones. He put up a embroidered lace drape thing he liked on the wall, he moved some things around.
Back home his room was usually bright colors and soft light with a lot of soft things, and because it's easy to move furniture when you're magic, things tended to move a lot whenever he was bored/avoidant/procrastinating and everything would get rearranged on the regular.
Makeup? He has it, and he's good with it, but doesn't wear it that often now. He would at least do eyeliner and such more often before, but less so now. Eliot did perform with a drag show for a bit in college, and he's done makeup for theater shows for himself and others, so he's good at it and likes it.
Preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress - El is pretty particular about how he dresses. He came from a rural background and desperately trying to pass for straight to avoid abuse, so once he got away from that, changing who he was was a very deliberate thing. He built the version of himself he wanted to be, and clothes were a part of that.
So he likes things that are tailored, sleek. he likes colors or patterns in vests and he doesn't particularly like to be overly subdued, but he doesn't want it to overwhelm him either.
lol. He was a little less exacting for a while when he first got here and was still mourning, but now that q's not dead, he'll probably start spiffing up again. And shaving
What do they think about before falling asleep at night? if he's not thinking squishy steve thoughts, then he's usually running lines in his head or worrying about scenes the next day or whatnot.
How organized are they? How does this organization/disorganization manifest in their everyday life? - He is not. There is a reason the boy has a Nat and a PA. He would never knwo where he is supposed to be. But also if he had to worry about all of those details he'd give himself panic attacks all the time. So he lets someone better at it handle it.
Turn-ons? Turn-offs? Confidence, nice backs, a sense of humor, ability to listen to him without telling him to shut up for at least five minutes. And confidence that's really unfounded arrogance, Extreme Seriousness, when they eat and cut the food into the SAME SIZE every time. People who don't fold pizza.
