Theory about all these phantomy trees: Given all the possible souls they would have been receiving and caring for, before the disaster, what we're dealing with is only a tiny fraction of True Ardenweald
The rest is A. Being hidden from the mortals for Reasons B. All completely dead and dessicated, which means the drought has been MUCH much worse than we've realised C. Going about its handicapped business at its normal remove from Tirna Achiad, not unlike the furthest-lying groves we can visit.
The only catch with any of those theories is that Marasmius doesn't mention any further outlying groves/lands, and since he's been there since the Winter Queen started landscaping, this seems highly improbable.
They've always done symbolic distances, symbolic populations. Stormwind should look like it does in the movie, for example. There's absolutely no way something the size of Ardenweald-as-we-know-it could handle near-infinite populations of worlds even with the 4-5 dead groves we've seen being revived again.
Bastion's got some corner-of-the-eye floating installations as well. Revendreth has a few builds down the sides of sheer cliffs - glider-reachable to get to, no way to get back up yet. Maldraxxus seems to be almost boringly normal.
Yeah, that's a good point. Which reminds me of my eternal puzzlement over why Kyrians look so much like Humans... or is it Humans who are devolved Vrykul who look like Kyrians?
I think that glimmer is Tirna Marwol. (Very far right edge, barely visible, thought it was in-frame)
I think - Tirna Kaithe, Tirna Achiad, Tirna Glayn and maaaybe Tirna Noch?
Maldraxxus seems to be almost boringly normal.
