I’m so excited. My friend started it and wasn’t fond. She didn’t get far, so the story has yet to really kick in, but I don’t think she’s gone back to it yet. I need to talk about these little shits
"Wow you really think the song selection is charming even though 90% of the comments hate it-?" "YES, BECAUSE IN THIS INSTANCE 90% OF PEOPLE ARE WRONG."
Now keeping in mind, Sly Cooper and Ratchet and Clank were my goddamn jam back in the day, and while I never really played a lot of Jak and Daxter, I still had a respect for it.
So yeah, having a modern game that really harkens back to those games while throwing in some Zelda homage, it's got me going "AWWWW YES, I SEE WHAT YOU ALL ARE TALKING ABOUT."
Also isn't it weird how a character's jump can feel a little floaty at first, but then you get the double jump and it turns into "YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THAT'S THE GOOD STUFF"
And not to knock the Disney Hercules movie too much, there's some stuff in it I really like, but this was almost more what I was expecting from a Disney take on Greek Myths.
this... Honestly fills a void in me that I didn't even realize was there up until now. Y'know, like I didn't know I wanted something until it appeared?
BTW on the subject of little animation nods that I like, the first star puzzle had a fun little tidbit; I loved that when you push the block in and the orb falls down, it bonks Fenyx on the head.
"YES, BECAUSE IN THIS INSTANCE 90% OF PEOPLE ARE WRONG."
"Oops."
oh and hey Ubisoft, it took me several years but I'm finally ready to let go of that "women are harder to animate" comment."...Yes."
