type of discipline she was subjected to at home: a mixed bag tbh, her mom was severe in the not especially affectionate sense but also mostly let her and her brother do whatever
was she overprotected/sheltered as a child: it's also a mixed bag! desensitised to violence early on because of her parents making their living hunting/fishing, also exposed to a lot of the nastiness of gridanian xenophobia as a kid without her parents really able to shield her from that,
did she feel rejection or affection as a child: rejection, which would probably take her entire family by surprised because as far as they were concerned she was just their quiet kid who they treated the same way as her older brother and her brother is doing fine
it wasn't explicit rejection, she just wanted a supportive relationship with her parents when she was little (because world is big and confusing and no one else looked much like her) and learned that none of them really work that way
so she kind of does not have a familial relationship with any of them at all since running away and they've never tried to reestablish contact so she doesn't feel the need
economic status of her family: ok so her mom, the matriarch of their little family and the reason they came to eorzea at all, was a leatherworker and trader in reunion with a bunch of hingan contacts over the years and a few more contacts overseas, but most of that money went into their migration overseas when the garleans came to othard
she never rebuilt that business in eorzea because its tough being a foreigner and losing most of your material resources, but she is affiliated with the ltw guild and the black rabbit traders (she is the kind of hardass who geva either appreciates or hates i can't decide which) and made just enough of a living to raise a family in the north shroud that way
she is in charge of the finances of the family and her husband is just a quiet little haragin man who likes to fish and loves her very much and supports her in everything she does
they didn't support naren when she set out to become an adventurer but that's because she didn't particularly care for them to know and just left one day with dad's spear, they certainly could have and probably would have
at home religion had very little presence which was deliberate on naren's mom's part because she aggressively wanted the household she was in charge of to Fit In and had never been devout back on the steppe anyway, the kha tribe were always relatively outward-looking when she was growing up
if she thought about it she would recognise that her dad still prayed and occasionally left offerings the way he was brought up to but she doesn't think about that at all until actually going to the steppe in sb and being severely weirded out (i know haragins don't show up ingame there but U Know)
as for actual belief... she really did believe in the twelve for quite a while, it was one of her comforts when first setting out as an adventurer to think that they were looking out for her in some way, even though organised religion seemed as inexplicable to her as most cultural things
she didn't have An Education, she learned her letters from travelling hearers running classes and that sort of thing, places like st endalim's scholasticate are frankly unsettling but then she isn't comfortable most other places either so sure she'll go inside without a fuss
honestly part of the reason she didn't really open up to most of the scions prior to shb is they are all explicitly book nerds and she is aware that she's not so she didn't know how to present around them
12: despite not having An Education she picks her words consciously and sounds kind of formal by default lmao, it's partly as a result of learning how to read and write from conjurers, her businesswoman mother etc
her vocabulary is not enormous but she is extremely practised at guessing what things mean from context and not giving away quite enough for people to realise she's winging it
she doesn't say much at a time either which helps the impression, like, she definitely isn't joss terse but you're unlikely to get more out of her than you explicitly asked for
the classes she didn't mind and not all of the other kids/peripatetic teachers were cruel about her blatantly being a lizard, some were even in the Friend Category, but she never had a sense of belonging there or particularly fond memories either
15: HONESTLY she might have wondered about if she needed to do a thesis or something for the scions to feel more like the right place for her... it never materialised because she's not a fuckin sharlayan, it was a dumb idea anyway and shb happened first, but it might be a thought she entertained early on
and on some level she does like the socially acceptable simplicity of being asked to kill thing and then doing it, which is easier than many kinds of interaction
she can't really quit being the wol because the further she is in msq the more people she's actually managed to make connections with, not to mention the more the world-saving stakes have been impressed upon her
but it is more complex and more binding that something she'd set out to do from the beginning if she had the opportunity to start over, which is what her version of fray leaned heavily on
and the travelling part is kind of nice, involuntary as it sometimes is... she likes learning her way around new places where there's no pressure to stop being an outsider
I just realized u thought it was a lot of questions bc you thought it was 11 THROUGH 26 and not just 11 AND 26 because im dumb and should have made it clearer but im always here for delicious oc lore anyway
she wears good quality armour in the field because that's kind of important for not dying, but in her backlash against the whole wol thing periods like drk questline post 4.0 and adventuring break post 5.3 she is definitely dressed like a potato sack and shoved her armour in her large disorganised chocobo saddlebag
places that she stays in even for moderate lengths of time don't really look lived in because having everything in a bag means she can keep track of it and move on asap if needed
her hair is usually clipped up out of her face and ponytailed for similar function over form reasons, she does wash and brush it so that it doesn't cause her trouble but there's not much of a routine
adventurers always have weird fashion sense so she sees no reason to try and look more than baseline presentable even for formal occasions (and then kind of gives up on even that after 2.55). tataru thinks she is weak

almost wrote zenis
that's what in his pants
