I guess if you assume an mindblowingly amazing critic and a mediocre artist who wasn't trying very hard because their interest had already moved on to other projects but they were on commission?

There are some critics where the critique is art. And that's not saying that being mean to someone is art, but that how they present their critique and the research and depth DO require work. But your average film/literary critic? no. Here it just comes off as a classist divide kind of thing
exactly. Critique is just MST3000 and Game Grumps but sticking to the point and having (hopefully informed, but not always) opinions on the content. And sometimes outside sources.
why can't people appreciate that some art is better than others and it's not the genre or medium that determines it...its just your opinion. craft and crap both exist everywhere
