Brother-in-law called earlier to tell us that his partner had been taken to the hospital because she has a sudden, sharp pain in her left side.

She's headed home now, but obviously we're concerned.

They were worried about appendicitis, but I'm guessing they're not as worried about it now?

Brother-in-Law said they've done blood tests, etc. Which isn't...the most helpful.

Did they check to see if she could have kidney stones? Two members of my family did recently and it manifested as sudden side/abdominal pain for both of them.

I'm hoping that ultrasounds were included in the 'etc', but hard to tell.

I fully admit that my first thought after appendicitis was kidney stones.
