the Cosmere is a universe that several book series take place in

Sort of like how Discworld has multiple casts of characters

Each series within the Cosmere has it's own complete story

But as the author writes more and more of them, we're starting to understand how all these worlds interact

and occasionally a character from one book will make a minor cameo in another

Mistborn was set in the Cosmere

did someone say cosmere/mistborn

The hard part

would be making a magic system that feels Cosmere-ish

yeah, that shit has to be, like, rigorous

There's a high standard

For matching the fucking STYLE that Allomancers and Radiants had

not to mention keeping it that internally consistent

the fuckin, like... Mistborn book 3 spoilies you'd be able to call early in book 1 if you knew all the magic mechanics going in, that's some hardcore consistency yeah
(not gonna say anything here about what those spoilers actually are)
