My Mamie lives in St Pierre et Miquelon. She was one of the smartest, most talented women I'd ever known. But after her partner passed away after already losing my grandfather, she fell into a depressive slump that brought on dementia.
Her appetite and spirit are going down. Clinical signs are not obvious, but she has heart failure linked to a tired heart and an episode of atrial fibrillation. However, she is not experiencing any pain.
I'm so sorry. I am glad she's not in pain, but I can't imagine how hard it must be not being able to go visit her. can staff set up facetime/Zoom? we have done so, so many Zoom calls for people. it's not the same, but it can be a lot better than the phone.
I'm glad she isn't in pain but it sounds like a lot to bear regardless--my grandmother's case was really similar before she passed and I know it's hard to go through on both sides
Les signes cliniques sont discrets mais elle a une insuffisance cardiaque liée à un cœur fatigué et un passage en fibrillation auriculaire.
Néanmoins elle n’a aucune douleur.
