"Come to think of it, does Norton actually do his own laundry?" a valid question. Renfield will happily take over those chores once, uh, someone shows him the modern wonders of a washer/dryer.
to be back on topic: Steve doesn't do his laundry unless there's blood involved. He doesn't sweat either, sooo. Yea. Spock probably has some fancy 23rd century bullshit tech in his room.
Larry also doesn't sweat and I think is more comfortable washing out the few things he would ever need to in his own sink, so he doesn't use the laundry room either. but he does keep his cabin pretty tidy.
yallternative
in Steve's case, I think he still showers, just for the smell of soap and out of habit. But otherwise? He has no body odor, nor scent besides his hair sprays and cologne.
Fitz ranks a good shower as one of the most important things to judge a new place in space/time and likes clean clothes especially with laundry having gotten much easier to do then when he was a kid. but cleaning his cabin is a rare event
tess says laundry is a luxury and if you're not doing it for the sheer satisfaction of fresh clothes and a fresh bed whenever you can, you're an ungrateful little bitch
Norton absolutely does his laundry because clothes must be clean and smells must be good, but he hates that he has to do his own laundry. He used to typically take his clothes to a laundry to pay someone else to do it.
He agrees with Tess that fresh clothes, fresh bed, clean cabin, are Nice Things that should be appreciated. (He wishes that someone else could do the work so he could have them effortlessly, but he'd rather put in the work himself than not have them at all.)
The variety of cleaning detergents and washing materials in the future is exciting, though. Like, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, is pretty fun. He's used to just a block of soap for everything.
YOU CAN BE GROSS WITHOUT SWEAT
you can have literal dirt on your body
