The U.S. Treasury of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has just announced that national banks and federal savings associations can treat public blockchains as infrastructure similar to SWIFT, ACH and Fed Wire. In addition, stable coins like USDC can be used as a payment method.
