and like this isn't a 'wow they are both the worst' post

what i'm thinking about is primarily that speech in the first book i think, where petunia is ranting about how the rest of her family didn't see what lily really was and were all proud and accepting of her being a witch and petunia was the one who saw her for what she was, a freak

and thinking about it there is actually a striking and bizarre resemblance between petunia's attitude and behavior towards wizards and the magical community and jkr's behavior and twitter rants about trans people
