For the record, I initially started college in Fall of 2008.

Shit immediately went downhill because of the recession and I had to withdraw in fall of 2010 because the amount of time I had to work, on top of not being able to KEEP most of that money meant I was just failing or on the verge of failing classes increasingly.

Because helping the family meant I couldn't afford all of my textbooks until over halfway through the semester, but also didn't have the time to be able to make it up in extra studying in the library and such.

2011 through the beginning of 2014, I spent as a college drop out waitress.

Both of my grandmothers died in that three year span.

I enlisted in the navy in 2014.

A lot of shit sucked, but I met some pretty neat people and got to see some amazing things and places and have some experiences I'll never regret.

I got out in spring of 2018.

Fall 2018 I returned to school with a 2.14 GPA waiting for me.

I started kindergarten at five years old with the very strong awareness that no one else in my family had gone to university, with the subtle, but unstated expectation, that I was going to be the first one to do it.
