Soothe Bell "calms the spirit and fosters friendship", and the Destiny Knot ensures if one side of a battle gets infatuated they both do. Also it does stuff to breeding IIRC? The Pokédex is a nice little digital encyclopedia/research database, and those healing machines just heal up the Pokémon while they're in their balls, so there must be SOME sort of
