Foster doggo update! She did well today. We (humans) hung out with her as usual and brought the dogs in this time too so they all got to hang out together. The foster dog was cautious at first but ended up wagging her tail and walking around and even ate a bunch of food. Up until this point she was barely eating. Also she was in quarantine as instructed.

So now we get to keep bringing our doggos in with her to hang out more over the next few days. Plus we have meds to give her.

There she came up to me for pets

And she had chewed through her leash. We have a better one on her now.

We're supposed to keep a leash on her at all times, just "dropped" so it's loose. This way if the foster gets scared and hides or tries to go somewhere she's not supposed to we can get the leash and not touch her directly which could scare her.

BUT she was found abandoned and leashed up so I get why she doesn't want the leash on.

Also that room is dirty but I'm not going to try to move her out to run the vacuum right now. She needs more time.

This is her spot on the sofa. She loves to hang out here.

Took her a few days to warm up to me and hubby. We still wait for her to approach to give her pets. She's still a bit scared.

In the coming weeks I bet I'll have more news and more pics. It's been slow going up til this point but hey we're making progress.
