I just wish I knew if it was normal for your temp to do that or if it's a thing I need to worry about and bring up to doctor.
Maisfeeka
Let's put it this way. I have to take my temperature every day before I go in to work. I have two thermometers. One work gave me and one is mine. The work one registers in about 10 seconds. I often take it three times in a row because I think it reads low. I get three different readings each time, usually within half a degree or so of each other, but up to
Maisfeeka
a degree different from highest to lowest. Then I tak my temperature with the other one and it tends to read up to a degree higher. There are so many factors as to why it shifts around. I wouldn't worry.

Mostly I was freaked out because it kept reading from 99.4-99.7, but my ear one was reading 97.5
well, sleeping, but at 2 hours that's hardly sleep levels
Maisfeeka
Naps are different from deep sleep.

like, my intention was sleeping early, but I woke up before dreams hit
hobbats
it's totally fine, there's no need to be worried unless it's a true fever and you feel sick
Maisfeeka
I wouldn't worry unless it gets up higher or you feel crummy.
I do feel crummy, but I mean. Cancer stuff, so.
It hasn't hit 100.5 though so
Maisfeeka
Unusually crummy, though. Stress can also make yo run a bit higher.
hobbats
it's almost certainly not an infection if it's just a little bit off
I prob wouldn't have freaked out as much if it hadn't taken so long to go down and stay down, but I think stress/anxiety can cause that?
hobbats
idk what chemo side effects can do but unless it's something super new for you, it's probably within the realm of normal
I haven't had chemo since october.

Well, that bouncing between temps was newish, though I think it's happened before. Unsure, though.
Pen Again
I have to take my temp for work each day and I have been at 99 without feeling crummy even. were you under blankets for your nap? I'm frequently warmer after a nap
I was under one blanket yeah
you are always warmer after sleeping or at least I am
google was NO help, being all "no, your body temperature lowers when you're asleeeeeeeeep"
mine goes up
plus, I've had some stomach pain bc of cancer stuff, and that plus this makes me go "BUT WHAT IF BAD"
Maisfeeka
Your basal body temp tends to be lower in the morning when you wake up after a night's sleep. Not just a nap.
