Oh and the bit of backstory about Robyn was nice too. It's weird because you wouldn't think of a truth-telling Semblance as something people would avoid you for but like...yeah. It absolutely would.
AND I also think it's interesting that Qrow ultimately blames himself for Clover's death (because naturally) but he also insists to Harriet that he didn't kill him. So like...progress? Imma call that progress. He definitely acknowledges that Clover made some serious missteps so I'm gonna call that an improvement over fully blaming himself.
Like Weiss can summon something to help her fly, Ruby can cheat gravity, Nora can launch herself and Blake can kinda pull the same stuff Ren and Jaune did but completely on her own.
I like it a lot, I'm especially glad to see Yang and Jaune together because they always struck me as two that would get along really well and we just haven't had a chance to see it much
And like, jumping ahead, I knew Yang wasn't gonna sit for Ren's attitude very long because she's just...not that kind of person (Jaune's loads more patient than she is) and she's not above getting in his face and being like what the heck is your deal man freaking talk about it.
I also loved the part about Jaune's cheating come back up. I was starting to think that plot point was dropped, and while it's true -- Ren really isn't being fair to Jaune because MAN has he gotten SO MUCH BETTER thanks to all the stuff he's been through
I love how Jaune is becoming self aware with his "I have a bad feeling. Things get worse before they get better" and cue the distant ice breaking and it's like "Oh, okay, Jaune's aware of the series he's in now. Great."
I just want to say, I didn't read your whole plurk, but I am glad that I am not the only one who thought of Pence in that scene. And I agree with you completely. It can't have been on purpose but the confluence is wonderful
even if Jaune somewhat misinterpreted who Yang was talking about but that's okay bby, that was an understandable mistakehah I laughed about that too, like Jaune, buddy, she's not worried about Rubybut it was an understandable mistake for Jaune to make I thinkcause he is kinda clueless about that stuffIT WAS TOTALLY A FAIR GUESS. ...Mostly because I also figured that's who she was talking about given Ruby's scene with Blake but that's WAY FUNNIER.
