My kid says my 'thumbs up' in IM's feel sarcastic and dismissive. She changed the icon on my acct to 💝, and now even my truly dismissive thumbs up are supportive. I don't have the heart to turn it back.

I'm going to agree with your kid on this as my boomer boss instead of actually communicating uses the thumbs up. It does feel dismissive! Though don't want HIM to send me hearts, ha.
