[DFFOO] On a lighter note, Gau has proven himself to be a very solid investment. The good boy is the reason I was able to clear my first three Lufenia missions yesterday/last night

Then I did Eight's, because that one needed someone who can perform counters. I was worried it might mandate an evasion tank but nah, any counter boi will do

...then on a whim, I did Kurasame's, that one was a surprise

Thought I'd need a tank to make it through those first two big hits, but Gau's healing abilities were enough for us to survive and carry on the fight as normal

Makes sense that he'd do well in Lufenias since he specializes in punishing groups of enemies for any attack that doesn't miss

And those usually have you fighting 2-3 enemies for like, 15 minutes straight as you whittle their health down

...Still haven't cleared Bahamut's Lufenia yet, but in fairness, that's not the best one for Gau

He's been putting in so much work that I'm tempted to just get him his high armor

Gladio might help. My big problem with Bahamut is most of my powered up units deal elemental damage that'll get in the way of Kuja's holy enchant

I don't have much of EIko's stuff I think. Freya's been great for support, but hybrid means she's not the best of damage dealers. She takes the holy enchant, tho, so that's good enough for me

I could try Seifer or maybe Vivi. Seifer only has one forced elemental attack and not...all of Vivi's attacks deal fire damage, but that one's a stretch

i know I went from "meh who needs tanks" to having one in almost every team once I got Basch maxed out

also honestly gau could probably help stomp all the summon cosmos/chaos except for Brothers (because lol earth absorb), but Garnet makes that one ezpz anyway
