i love how layered cheris' dynamic is with jedao pretty much immediately

just profoundly intimidated, curious, horrified, sympathetic, all interspersed with grudgingly growing respect and fondness and, also, "wow you're fucking irritating"

this is very similar to his early dynamic with James, come to think of it ryannN?!
