huh. so question/forbidden knowledge. why is a stand mixer 300$, and yet. i can buy a deli slicer for only 100?

i feel like that should cost more, just on principle

deli slicers are less complicated machinery honestly

and the kind of resistance it meets and the strength of torque it needs are different

you probably don't run a deli slicer for 10+ minutes at a time either

yeah cheaper materials probably too

that said I'm seeing stand mixers for $60 at ALDI right now. though I don't imagine they'll last as long as a kitchenaid
