[replurk] [tech security] if anyone happens to be using nano adblock/nano defender and The Great Suspender on chrome, the first has been compromised by new owners and injected with malware. The latter has a similar handover though no word on what's going on yet as new owners are radio silent with their identities hidden.

Just gonna slide in here since I posted this originally. The same redditor did another writeup and it's for The Great Suspender this time. Essentially it seems they pushed an update to Chrome but not github and the new update added trackers that auto opt-ins (but can be opted out from. Read the post for more details.)

It seems the github thread itself has some people offering recommendations for alternatives if you'd like to dive in. In general the poster's advice would be good to adhere to, keep an eye on the extensions you actually have.
