Well, this is a revolting development. The results from a biopsy of a lesion on my nose came in positive for squamous cell carcinoma. I will be undergoing Mohs surgery on November 10th. Skin cancers run in my family (both basal and squamous cell) and I've had Mohs surgery before. It's not a big deal. Unfortunately, the procedure is performed under local

anesthesia which all too often where I am concerned does not have all of the pain reduction effect that could be desired. Not looking forward to November 10th at all.

Keeping you in my thoughts Thorn! we have that in my family too although it's my brother that is dealing with it. Good luck!

Sorry to hear that, Thorn. I hope the procedure goes well. My mom also has both squamous and basal cell carcinomas. I go every year for a full body check, just in case.

Ugh. Cancer sucks- hang in there. It seems I have known the trivia gang for 8-10 years, and we all have one thing in common. We are 8-10 years older. So sorry that it is your turn.

hate that for you, Thorn. I hope you can get through it with minimal discomfort

Oh no! Good luck with the surgery, and I hope it isn't as painful as you expect!
