Like in classes where there's opinion based topics there can be a discussion!!!

But when it's literally citing the answer to question out of the book like?!!? How the fuck are you supposed to respond to that in a meaningful way???

in our discussion boards we also get points for references and it's like [I agree with you because (link from the internet)] it's stupid

I feel like my classmates must've hated me in one class we had to do discussion board on, because we all had to come up with the questions for one week ourselves. I refused to do anything but opinion-based questions that there could actually be some disagreement on, but literally everyone else had the same regurgitate the answer formula.
