cautious....optimism!?

Like everything they've shown off so far looks WAY better than even the late stuff from the previous season

I am noticing a significant lack of actual animation happening

There’s animation ins the second half of the video

But even in the stills like

There’s shading

The lighting is actually quite distinctive, it has a look which is incredibly faint praise but compared with the first season...

Anyway the optimism remains very cautious, even if the animation looks better that’s no guarantee that the pacing won’t still be shot all to fuck

(Just look at the current One Piece anime; it looks incredible, best it’s ever looked, but the pacing is STILL criminally bad)

I didn't watch much of the anime but I might theorize that a lot of WT's action just fundamentally doesn't translate well from manga to anime

the weapons are deliberately relatively simple and utilitarian for the genre, in order to place a harder emphasis on strategy and tactics
