I keep thinking about reading The Maze Runner like... idk a bunch of years ago. And I was very taken with the whole setting, and then the end of the book gave you all the answers and reading the sequel was just "eeh. ok, i guess"

But with Umineko the reveals are gradual and then even after you know everything it's all so satisfying. Even though it's SO LONG.
