Reading this 1388 recipe book is interesting. It's in english, but everything is spelled weird:
"Take Ryse and waishe hem clene."
Is: Take rice and wash them clean

man what is this recipe tho? “powder douce” is a blend of cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg etc. on cabbage??
