[pkmn] I have a moral quandary for you, plurk https://images.plurk.com/3qW2nV5anSQiPS9kX9YSWK.jpg
raspberrydrink
you are playing a nuzlocke, with rules that you can only use mons in catch order. so no swapping out mons unless they die
raspberrydrink
in team swaps are fine just nothing comes out of the box without dearh
raspberrydrink
death^
raspberrydrink
you have an early game mon on the team, it has done good work for you till now but is lagging due to limited stats or bad typing. you are nearing the difficulty spike of the third or fourth gym
raspberrydrink
do you purposely kill your mon to pull in something better
raspberrydrink
and I don't mean use it as a hit sponge in a hard fight for a turn to heal, but going out to a fight just to kill it

it'll probably die in the natural course of things shortly vOv
raspberrydrink
but it might be in a fight where you coulda really used that other mon, causing a wipe...
Infychu
In nuzlockes I generally think "Would a REAL trainer do this?"
Rindude
the answer to all these questsion is yes
Rindude
cause that poor rataticate

I mean at that point you might as well just allow voluntary release, because you could just sit there and let something slowly kill anything but the only effective cost is time, its not like you are in real danger when you do it
VanityPhroject
You could. But are you willing to live with the guilt.
