Doubleplurk but w/e - Have any of you seen Monsterland on Hulu? What's the jumpscare content?

DryadGurrl
zero? Mild? Way too many?

DryadGurrl
it's got people in it I like, and it seems like my kind of anthology, but like, I will die if there are jumpscares

rana
i'm gonna watch some today and will report back

DryadGurrl
and! As a clarification, things jumping at the screen/me or jumping out of nowhere at characters = jumpscare

DryadGurrl
that panning past where there's a critter/ghost/whatever and then it's gone when the camera pans back? That's fine

DryadGurrl
or it's just off to the side doing its own thing in the periphery only to be framed properly in the next shot, that's usually also fine

I've only seen the first episode. No jumpscare content whatsoever.

DryadGurrl
thank you thank you

DryadGurrl
I mean, it seems like it's more atmospherically/thematically scary which is absolutely my jam, but sometimes it's hard to tell

waffle party 🧇
that's very much the case with the first ep

waffle party 🧇
little "scary" content, more about the monster a person can become

DryadGurrl
okay okay, coolcoolcool, that's what I'm here for and what I was hoping

DryadGurrl
adding to this: Bite Size Halloween series of shorts, same question, any of them jump-scare based? (if anyone's seen them)
