one of my relatives is planning to palm off a cat (from a friend of his) onto another relative of mine such that I will never be able to visit her ever again and she probably won't be able to visit me or live here if she needs to.

if anyone else is interested in temporarily adopting a cat while its owner has to live in pet-banned rented accommodation (for an unspecified period) between house moves. It's probably currently living somewhere in the vague vicinity of London / "home counties".
