i love to say i'm a singer and theatre actress by passion, and i would say that when i would conduct theatre workshops for teens during the summer. well except this summer obvs. darn it, 2020
but yes i was active in our community theatre/music scene even if i've never really had formal theatre/music schooling because third world problems lmao
though my last theatre stint was in 2017, i just couldn't make time for rehearsals anymore because of work. but beginning the 2nd half of 2018 up to before the virus shut everything down, themed parties became all the rage here soooo that ended up as my side stint hahaha
i love canon mashups and angst and when i'm trash for a ship i'm trash for a ship. (also i call myself trash affectionately, please don't be concerned lol.)
i can get flaky and distracted and slow with tags but i will backtag forever and i would never mind being poked about things so please do if you feel i'm taking too long! i won't be offended, i'll just feel really bad because i love you all (for real) and i want my friends to be happy and sometimes i go overboard and then can't keep up
my all-time favorites are wicked and kinky boots. i know les mis a lot because of local productions, i've been in several runs of them. i have a lot of love for the greatest showman. the most recent (late 2019/early 2020) cast recordings i've gone crazy over are six and the prince of egypt
Phantom of the Opera (the Phantom is currently taking over my brain), Les Mis, RENT, Hamilton, kind of Miss Saigon and Pirates of Penzance, and I've heard the soundtrack for the Monte Cristo musical

my rp tenure is all over the place, i started early but i wasn't consistent. i think i started 2001 over at yahoogroups oops but it was just one game. then the bulk of my LJ days were roughly in 2008-2009. then i came back to DW 2018? only really semi-ish rping consistently since, because omg phones and FINALLY I CAN PHONE TAG lmao

same. here it's either cast a local production (which is only slightly better than a high school production because resources, even if we have no shortage of talent around these parts) or fly out to the capital or singapore to watch something. i've done both. i also caught most of mine while on business travel to the US circa 2012-2015 hehe

i saw wicked in new york (most expensive trip of my life lmfao) and twice again in manila, then kinky boots in chicago and twice again in manila. because faves, haha. not sure if it's changed since 2015, but chicago's great because of half-priced tickets >.> i also saw million dollar quartet and the sherlock holmes play there.
i saw les mis in manila when i flew out to audition for miss saigon west end i knew i physically didn't fit because not asian enough for kim or gigi, not actually caucasian to be ellen so yeah hahaha
if any of you ever decide to come to my hellhole, i will tour you! though most of you don't like the heat and humidity so you probably won't be wandering this far down the equator
