Monomon being scientifically minded as well would probably respect that aspect of Valdemar. Having served a deity and probably read a lot about the more eldritch horrors of Hallownest and probably beyond she wouldnt be as disturbed by others by their real form if she were to ever see it. I keep waffling on how much the disregard for life would bother her

She seems to understand that death is natural but also her decision to help the Knight seemed likely out of the specific situation of prolonging the inevitable causing more suffering

They'd be something very unique with the knowledge they have and especially if they were presenting as something other than bug (or jellyfish) so that would spark her curiosity alot

I get the impression the devs were going for the boring lovecraftian horror that horrifies you no matter what ever it just does you can't do anything about it, so the idea of this jellyfish scientist looking at him through her mask eyeholes and just calmly making a note is... delightful

and I think if we were to AU Valdemar into Hollow Knight they would be absolutely delighted with the state of Hallownest. Static. Unchanging... they'd be delighted that things turned out this way, well done PK and You Stop That Radiance.
