I swear the dev team for Tales of Crestoria is going to drive their game into the ground at this rate. There’s literally been four days since July that there hasn’t been a ladder event going on.

There’s two weeks of limited raids going on after this current one ends.

And they’ve announced another ladder and people have datamined what looks like another one out of the files after that.

There is such a thing as too much content especially if that content is about ten minutes of plot and then two weeks of grinding.

Especially since this and the next ladder are focused on characters from Tales games that never got international releases so they have this kind of “hello my best friend who I know you are all familiar with” energy.

Both ladders are Tales of Innocence which last I checked is already kind of an also-ran but this is the same game that decided that the Tales of The Tempest protagonist didn’t get a fair shot so who fucking knows?

Innocence got a remake! It also never got released internationally!

Hell the only reason we got the Hearts remake was the series director at the time embarassed himself in an interview.

For those who don't know: when the Xillia duology was released they did a big push to be like "Tales is an international series now! We're sorry everyone!" and that included translated interviews with the development teams. The director was asked what his favorite Tales game was and he said Hearts, and gushed about it, encouraging everyone to play it.

Only for a lot of Twitter people to go "hey uh, dude, I'm glad you enjoyed it but I literally fucking can't."

And he publicly apologized and then got Hearts R an international release.

so...most of us still couldn't.

I mean at least he did, though yeah I would be fucking jazzed if it got a PC release alongside Symphonia and Vesperia.

But releasing it for a DOA console is at least releasing it in the west.

But yeah, two limited raids and two ladder events would be another six weeks of grind.

Meaning at best Chapter 6 part 1 would be like... last week of October at the earliest?

but yeah...please. No more ladders. They were my least favorite event type in FGO and I'm finding they're not much better here. (I didn't find them bad in Arknights, but that's in part because AK's ladders are almost always contingent on "how much AP you spend on non-Annihilation maps" more than anything else)
