i have promised to run a short sampler dnd for my mom and 97 year old grandma next time we all see each other

part of me like will my grandma still be alive when travel to canada is a thing again? but the rest of me like fuck yeah she will, she's so goddamn independant. the optometrist just cleared her to continue driving herself around

anyway i described how dnd usually runs, and they realized it's basically like acting except you have to make it up and you don't have a script .... gottem. my mom loves writing screenplays and reading them in groups, she can't say no

i can't wait to walk them through making characters i think i would go with premade stuff for them, but let them come up with all the flavor

mom asked if we could do it over the phone and i had to tell her it would be so much better in person, alas

would it be possible to try and play over the phone or internet? just cuz it might be a while before travel is safe : (
