[Dental stuff] Good news!
🍔 YESPOOK...
If you weren't on my timeline back then, to bring you up to speed- last February I started having tooth pain so bad I couldn't eat and ended up having 2 teeth pulled.
🍔 YESPOOK...
I went to a chain dentist (I had no choice, they were the only ones in the area that could see me quickly) and they told me I had gum disease and needed these expensive cleanings, oh yes, and pre-charged me for them to the tune of $2,000-ish.
🍔 YESPOOK...
They also didn't have me in the computer for the extractions, when I had literally been in the office the day before, and while I did get them done on time something was off so I went to a different office (same chain) closer to my house.
🍔 YESPOOK...
They even said "oh, you went to Faketown?" in that tone that makes you think "ah yes, you've had to fix their screwups before haven't you"
🍔 YESPOOK...
ANYWAY the office close to me said the gum disease claims were bullshit, I didn't have any cavities like the first office told me, and actually got them to refund the money.
🍔 YESPOOK...
So I went in for new X-Rays and a cleaning today and got a clean bill of health! I just need to do better with flossing and otherwise my teeth are looking great
🍔 YESPOOK...
YEAH that first office definitely took advantage of me when I was in pain and scared
🍔 YESPOOK...
The gum treatments they were recommending... I looked them up and they sounded painful and expensive
🍔 YESPOOK...
Me too, it's such a relief
🍔 YESPOOK...
By all indications the two extractions WERE necessary, but anything else? Ennnh. I'm not sure how they planned on filling nonexistent cavities

yeah. when I was looking for a dentist I took a look at those walk in chains. very first thing I found was a ton of BBB complaints about them recommending unnecessary work.
Lel
ended up going with a local independently owned dentist, and I've been very happy with tgem
andalite!
