[Minor work gripe] I want to take everyone aside and teach them how to link their network drives properly

our office has a habit of linking to folders in our network drives to share files

the problem with this is everyone has the drive mapped locally.... which means it's not gonna be a consistent mapping for everyone and those links aren't going to work

if one person is mapped to O and the next is mapped to P

Heck I'm not even sure if it works well even when they are consistent just. Add the whole drive we have access to the whole thing.

and then you get the whole file path when trying to link

Slightly related there is this one file that like probably 50+ people in our office share and I wish people would not just do all their work in there when they need to update it

it's a document for logging invoices and people will literally create them in the file preventing anyone from accessing it if they have like... 50 things to put in

instead of creating them locally and just copying them in
