[channel zero] season 3 is definitely weaker than the first two

it uses so little of SAR's content that it feels almost offensive for it to be using the name

and what ideas it does have are much less interesting

SAR: "There's a mysterious unknown Thing that manifests as disembodied staircases in the woods, nobody knows what it is or why, just that you shouldn't go near them. Everyone has weird stories about things they can't explain, united only by the dark unknown or the woods."

Butcher's Block: "There's a staircase that goes to a magic house full of cannibals"

season 2 diverted a long way from No-End House but

wow. why even bother

1, No-End House wasn't as good as SAR so that's less lost

and 2, it replaced it with something genuinely interesting and unnerving

what a painfully uninteresting thing to do with the mysterious staircase concept

yeah it's really disappointing

starting season 4 and I don't recognize this one, I think it's a pasta I haven't read

couple moves into new house, girl finds a door in the basement that wasn't there before

goes through it, her childhood imaginary friend is there, and it escapes
