idk if this will help, but if you right click on an emote and copy the url and then paste the url into plurk savior that will block the emote too! not a catchall obviously because emote variants won't get caught but it might be useful

yeah 90% of my blocklist is emotes.

of course i agree that it's infinitely easier to just use regular words so you don't have to go through extra hoops, but it is an option
