[sinoalice] I'm looking for a decent strategy guide if anyone knows of where to find. also please help me figure out what's worth spending my medals on I've just been hoarding them.

I'm not in a guild right now but it seems that most guild are looking for support classes so I should probably work on getting good at one of those

I made it to 65

our guild's open and we're not looking for anything specific but more support's always welcome. my guess is no one likes to sit mainly on the back row throwing out heals and debuffs but honestly? that wins fights more than raw damage.
cidrielf
(of course if the other guild is ONLY raw damage, and you have weak heals, they'll crush your healers before you get a chance to retaliate so that's another strategy)
cidrielf
our raid time's 11pm central though

I'd be interested. I'll take a look at my weapon inventory and see what I can come up with
cidrielf
honestly? we're not super focused on wins and just try to enjoy the fights where we don't get absolutely steamrolled because ther
cidrielf
there's just no such thing as matchmaking lmao
cidrielf
it's either the 6 of us versus a full member 15 guild that is mostly AFK and has maybe 1-2 strong members, or a 4 person streamrolled with twice our power level that can two-shot most of us before I can get off a heal.
cidrielf
there is very little in-between.
cidrielf
I doubt they're going to balance it much since once you get into the higher tiers it won't be possible with guilds that aren't active for each match, and there's going to be a sharp drop-off in players who jsut came around for the NieR crossovers but hey.
cidrielf
it's something active to do
cidrielf
what's your friend code? I could get our guild leader to send an invite~

I'm trying out cleric. how's this grid? https://images.plurk.com/1MLqq4KLJZeu8XDksLBXmd.png
cidrielf
if you're going to play back row, artifacts for damage won't amount to much. the only ones I personally keep on as cleric are the ones that also boost attack as part of the effect. (they're also the only ones I bothered to level up to L rank)
cidrielf
instrument buffs are nice, but tbh what I focus on are heals and debuffs
cidrielf
our leader is usually on minstrel and throws out a ton of buffs and since enemy guilds tend to not do much in the way of debuffs themselves, they stick around unless we get wiped.
cidrielf
I'll have Nocturne send you the invite~
cidrielf
we just entered for the Gran Colosseum so that should be fun, but you can't play the first day of an invite sadly.
lime skittle
cool thanks I'll upgrade some of those weapons in the mean time

cidrielf : would it help if I try a different class?
cidrielf
you mean for our matches? I don't know. our healing is sometimes all that gets us through from being overwhelmed by raw damage, and buffs are always good, but guild leader's been wanting to do DPS instead of buffs with Minstrel and it's.. it kinda hurt our chances.
cidrielf
but stat differences and random crits and a bunch of other factors make it hard for me to figure out the meta (if there is one) and where our weaknesses are beyond just having lots of people AFK and not having the full 15 members on the field of even rank (rank increasing your HP and nothing else that I can tell)
cidrielf
I wouldn't worry too hard about it. just know that from the back row support works best, because offensive abilities do like a quarter damage (or less?)
lime skittle
sometimes I run out of staffs and it's like ok time for debuff now
cidrielf
that's pretty much what I do; I have a few offensive artifacts but only the ones that buff magic attack as part of it because otherwise my damage output is meager.

I pulled one of the SR staffs
