Ever have a feeling that the DM was waiting for you to remember an ability that you have?

It's actually been a few weeks, but I commented after a game that I had access to Sending.

DM's reply? "Mmmhmm."

Because I think he's been expecting me to use it and I just fucking forgot.

Of course, after last game, I'm still trying to figure out if she's going blow her second 3rd level spell slot to try to contact her brother or if she'll combat the feeling of having nearly died without finding him to wait until the end of the day.

dude i have yet to use any bard ability but jack of all trades, because eldritch blast is just so useful

I mean. The reason I only have one 3rd level spell slot right now is because I dropped a fireball on a pirate ship that was attacking us.

So, you know. I get useful spells.

Yeah. I fully admit that my fall back is Toll the Dead when I need some damage and I'm pretty sure their wisdom is shit.
