new DnD thing tonight. I decided to challenge myself in character building: No spell casting, no grouch/creepy. So, today I have created El Toro Salvaje! half orc monk gladiator! And yes he's totally a lucha libre

Furikuchan
Yessss

TheGreatCurator
Oh, nice! Let us know how he plays out...

Headphonemike
Okay, first I hate role20's dice roller. I can't hit for shit (I feel like I"m back in 3.5) If I switched to my physical dice it would look suspicious when I suddenly started rolling better. I'm roleplaying my ass off. I feel like this is more fight oriented which is okay. the plot so far is an isekai but I don't mind.

Furikuchan
Ooh!

Headphonemike
One of the players just now went, "Wait, are you supposed to be a luchadore?" which everyone got a laugh out of

Headphonemike
Also, we are fighting on a blank map with some squares drawn for spell effects. I honestly didn't think I could do that and get away with it. Creating my own maps was just the logical thing to do

Headphonemike
don't get me wrong, glad to do it.

Headphonemike
player arguing with the dm during game then more after game. thanks for the flashback guys, I needed it

Headphonemike
I'm sure there's more to this than just fight after fight. I'll stick around for a while. I need to get way more familiar with the mechanics and do better at saving ki points. All and all, fun time.

Furikuchan
Is the DM's name a synonym for a simple tool?

Headphonemike
hahaha no. It's someone from Brandon H.'s one shot

Furikuchan
Hey, I gotta check

Headphonemike
yeah yeah, I know

Furikuchan
Creative, but he's terrible at controlling a table

Headphonemike
boy will I have a funny story for you much later

Headphonemike
also I'm looking for more online games, namely cyberpunk or exalted because I have a shit ton of characters for both but never got to play more than once (or at all in the case of exalted, thanks Canadian Rob)
