RP nostalgia... I'm not gonna do it because I'll feel bad because I'm not writing as often as I used to.
ʙɪᴛᴄʜɪᴍᴡɪʟᴅ
Like wtf happened to my drive? I need to get it back.

Sometimes just blithering in a journal, dead tree or digital, about a character helps.
ʙɪᴛᴄʜɪᴍᴡɪʟᴅ
I have so many things I wish to do but I can't get them out.
OwlsNotAsThySem
Just... getting them out helps. Doesn't have to be perfect when you slap it on the page or the screen. Just applying words to a surface works.

I was writing in the Dunkins around the corner from my house back in January, and an older gent approached and said, "I see you here writing a lot. How do you do that?"
OwlsNotAsThySem
Me: How do you mean?
Him: How do get stuff written?"
Me: One word at a time. Just throw it on the page.
Him: Does it have to come out right?"
Me: Nope. When you start out, you're just telling the story to yourself. You can polish it after you get it out.
OwlsNotAsThySem
Him: That all it takes? :: astounded ::
Me: Pretty much! It's how I got fifty-plus stories in print in five years.
Him: :: O.O Really now? wow!
OwlsNotAsThySem
So... The only writing advice I'll ever give is "Write it down now, polish it up after."
ʙɪᴛᴄʜɪᴍᴡɪʟᴅ
ehhh, but this is RP. like there little to no real editing.
OwlsNotAsThySem
true, but it's good to spell check and make a once-over on a tag before posting it.
OwlsNotAsThySem
My point is, just write the thing. :: gentle shrug ::
